Hello, I'm Murtaza
I'm a Computer Science graduate of the University of New Haven (B.S., May 2026, GPA 3.67, Dean's List), driven by a deep curiosity about how AI and security intersect. My goal is to build robust, intelligent systems — software that's both powerful and resilient against modern threats.
I believe in learning by doing: every project I take on is an opportunity to push beyond what I already know and into something unfamiliar. From hackathon sprints to research roles, I ship real things that solve real problems.
Academic Background
I built a strong foundation in both theory and practice at UNH — coursework spanning advanced algorithms, machine learning, network security, and ethical hacking, graduating with a 3.67 GPA and Dean's List honors. I supplemented lectures with hackathons, coding competitions, and security challenges to keep skills sharp and applied.
Career Goals
I'm focused on developing AI-powered security solutions that protect against sophisticated cyber attacks — particularly in adversarial machine learning and AI model security. My goal is to contribute to systems where intelligence and resilience reinforce each other.
Leadership & Activities
During college, I served as President of the Computer Programming Club at UNH, organizing workshops and tech talks while mentoring students and leading our flagship project, SendIt, and as President of Upsilon Pi Epsilon. I also served as a Student Ambassador for the NorthEast Annual Cybersecurity Summit and as Front End Lead for the Wesleyan University Hackathon.
Beyond Code
I'm a practicing Muslim, LaLiga and Champions League soccer fan, anime watcher, and regular at the gym. I believe physical discipline and mental discipline reinforce each other. Family and community are central to who I am and how I approach life.
